Ideas for Use

These eight flyers were designed to assist you in your local efforts to promote quitting tobacco. They are designed to be customized with local contact information or with information about a local event. Here's how to customize the poster for your local needs:

Step 1
Add up to three images, text phrases or nothing at all. The images must be less then 1 megabyte in size and of type .gif, .jpg, .jpeg or .png

Step 2
Choose a background color.

Step 3
Complete a short survey and download customize flyer by clicking "Open/Save Customized Flyer" button.

Ways to Use the Flyer

Promote that event
Whether you plan a one-time event, a series of events, or an ongoing activity, you'll need to promote it. Use these posters as a means of getting the word out so that people will know about and take part in your activity. Don't forget that the Great American Smokeout occurs on November 15, 2007.
Take 'Em Out to the Ballgame
Where can you find a more captive audience than at an athletic event? Athletic events provide a great opportunity to distribute information, whether it's a professional, amateur, college, high school, or community sporting event. You can hang the posters in the stadium, hand them out, or ask your local sports team to print the poster in the programs.
Shop Till You Drop
Think about where people are purchasing cigarettes, like gas stations, convenience stores, Commissaries, Exchanges, and grocery stores. Ask local merchants to include the poster in their bags or hang the posters near the cash register.
The Great Indoors
Don't forget about the advertising possibilities inside buildings and on community bulletin boards. Think about the places where your audience spends their time. Dining facilities, libraries, places of worship, barber shops, gyms, recreation centers, restaurants, bars, and child care centers provide great opportunities to reach your audience.
