Cigarette Smoking May Boost Pancreatic Cancer Risk

Researchers at the Maastricht University Medical Centre in the Netherlands report that exposure to cigarette smoke may increase the risk of pancreatic cancer. The study showed that current smokers and former smokers had an 82 percent and 34 percent increased risk of pancreatic cancer, respectively, compared to never smokers.
