Every year, smokers who are Muslims are given the opportunity to quit smoking during the fasting month of Ramadan. Many "fast" from smoking during the daylight hours but start smoking again as soon as they've broken their fast or pick up the habit after Ramadan is over. The onus is on Muslims to practise discipline and self-restraint from anything negative during this holy month, so perhaps they can commit to quit smoking for good this year.
