Smoking Ban in Public Housing Would be Good for Public Health, Advocates Say

Health advocates urge the Federal government to ban smoking in the apartments they rent to low-income people. Forty-one percent of public housing units are occupied by families with children, and 32% include an elderly person. Both groups are particularly vulnerable to tobacco smoke.
