According to a tobacco company and cigarette retailer lawsuit, forcing ventors in New York City to display anti-smoking signs showing diseased lungs, decaying teeth, and a damaged brain violate free speech. City agencies said the antismoking campaign was necessary, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg has made a smoke-free New York one of his major priorities, having banned smoking in bars and restaurants.
