A study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine revealed that unhealthy behavior, including smoking, alcohol consumption, and lack of exercise, increases a person's chance of dying early. The chances of dying early, no matter the cause, grew 10 percent because of poor diet, 18 percent from excessive alcohol consumption, and 43 percent from smoking.
