Smoking in Pregnancy May Up Risk of "Cross-eyed" Baby

New research suggests that for each cigarette a pregnant female lights up daily, she raises her baby's risk of strabismus by 5 percent. The effect of smoking on this debilitating eye disorder, often called "cross eyes," may become more potent later in pregnancy.
