Smoking kills an estimated five million people worldwide every year. Experts say smoking is the leading cause of preventable death and it is the second leading cause of death, after cancer. Additionally, a recent study found that people who smoke are nearly two times as likely as non-smokers to develop Alzheimer’s disease.
