The World Health Organization (WHO) wants governments to do more to protect workers in bars, restaurants, and the entertainment sector from harmful smoke and to curb tobacco advertising and sponsorship. Dr. Chan, WHO director-general, called the tobacco industry "ruthless, devious, rich, and powerful." She also stated that tobacco use is actually increasing in many developing countries.
