The New York City smoking ban has grown quickly, with an expectation that public beaches and parks will soon be smoke-free. Efforts are also rapidly expanding into private residences. More landlords are working to prohibit smoking in apartment buildings, informing prospective tenants that they can be evicted if they light up.
