If You Smoke While Pregnant, You and Baby are More Likely to Have Problems

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists cautions that pregnant smokers are exposing their babies to a wide range of dangerous chemicals. The health problems include ectopic pregnancy,vaginal bleeding, abnormalities in how the placenta attaches to the uterus, stillbirth, and a low-birthweight infant, born weighing less than 5.5 pounds.
