Recurrent Breast Cancer Risk Raised by Smoking, Drinking.

A study by scientists at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center shows that cigarette smoking, obesity, and drinking alcohol significantly increase the risk of second breast cancer. Since smoking is not typically associated with breast cancer, researchers were somewhat surprised that they found it to be so strongly related to the risk of a second breast cancer.
