The Family Smoking Prevention and Control Act, signed by President Barack Obama, gives the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) historic, new powers to regulate tobacco products. The Act is part of a new, long-term effort to protect kids from being targeted by tobacco companies and the things they do to the product to make it more appealing to kids, more addictive, and harder to quit.
