Results of a study confirm an association between smoking and gastroesophageal cancer and are suggestive of carcinogenic risks associated with Scandinavian moist snuff (also known as snus)use. Researchers examined the incidence of esophageal and stomach cancers in a group of male Swedish construction workers followed for up to 33 years. They determined that there was a link between the gastric cancers and snus.
