Smokers Risk Health of Pets

Pet owners are urged to protect their animals from environmental tobacco smoke (ETS). Research shows that cats exposed to ETS are twice as likely to develop feline lymphoma, and dogs can suffer from smoking-related respiratory problems. Passive smoking can also contribute to skin problems such as hair loss in hamsters and guinea pigs.
