Secondhand Smoke Is Toxic For Pets Too

This April, in conjunction with Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, the American Legacy Foundation is asking pet owners to quit smoking. Research has determined that there is no safe level of secondhand smoke (SHS) exposure for humans or animals. Studies link respiratory problems, allergies, and even nasal and lung cancer in dogs, and lymphoma in cats to SHS.
