Florida Governor Charlie Crist proclaimed the first week of March 2009 Tobacco Free Florida Week, the state's first comprehensive campaign to promote tobacco-free living. Tobacco Free Week, funded through state programs on tobacco education, is important because tobacco companies spend more money on advertising in Florida than in any other state.
