A new survey of 3,300 pet owners found that 28 percent of those who smoked would try to quit when told about the health effects of passive smoking on their pets. Dogs and cats exposed to secondhand smoke have an increased risk of lung cancer, allergies, eye and skin diseases, and respiratory problems.
