Researchers are reporting a link between smoking and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Stopping smoking can lessen RA disease activity and progression over and above current medical treatment. RA is a chronic disease causing pain, stiffness, swelling, and limitation in the motion and function of multiple joints.
