Yale University researchers determined that among nearly 6,000 Americans, those who smoked on a fairly "casual" basis were more likely to binge-drink than non-smokers. Casual smokers had an elevated risk of alcohol abuse, being 16-times more likely than non-smokers to be "hazardous drinkers."
