More studies are determining that habitual drinking and smoking are linked to the problem of infertility. Smoking decreases sperm count in men, making the sperm more sluggish. Smoking also can increase the number of abnormal sperm. In male smokers, the greater the number of cigarettes smoked the greater are the effects on fertility.
