A Boston University School of Public Health study revealed that parents who enforce a smoking ban at home are less likely to have adolescents who experiment with cigarettes. Teens who lived in homes with nonsmokers but whose parents did not have a household smoking ban were nearly twice as likely to try cigarettes, compared to those whose parents banned smoking.
