Bigger Belly May Up Smokers' Lung Cancer Risk

According to a new study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, cigarette smokers who have excess weight around their waistlines may increase their risk for lung cancer. These findings, combined with with the fact that lung cancer risk is greater among leaner smokers, offers evidence that the way in which a smoker stores fat can impact his or her likelihood of developing lung cancer.
