Smoking Causes Stroke to Occur a Decade Earlier: Study

A Canadian study has found that people who smoke have strokes or mini-strokes at younger ages than nonsmokers. Smokers were almost a decade younger when they were referred to the clinic for treatment, with an average age of 58, compared to an average age of 67 for nonsmokers.
