Cancerous Radioactive Particles in Cigarette Tobacco

The tobacco leaves used to manufacture cigarettes contain radioactive material, particularly lead-210 and polonium-210. Research indicates that lead-210 and polonium-210 are in tobacco smoke as it passes into and accumulate in the lung.
