Millions more Canadians are likely to be diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), an incurable lung disease. The disease is more prevalent than heart failure, heart attacks, breast cancer in women or prostate cancer in men. Smoking is the leading cause of COPD.
