Taking Smoking Cessation Drug A Month Before Trying to Quit May Boost Success

A new study reveals that taking the smoking cessation drug Chantix (varenicline)a month before trying to quit smoking may boost success rates. While people usually take such medications one week before their “quit dates,” the new study found smoking cessation rates were higher in people who started four weeks before they stopped smoking.
