Smoking Initiation At A Young Age Tied To Greater Risk Of Illicit Drug Use

A new study reports that young people who start smoking at an early age have a much higher risk of starting to use cannabis by the time they turn 17. The results suggest that behaviors such as hyperactivity, impulsiveness, and aggressiveness are predictors of early smoking, which in turn is a strong risk factor for drug use.
