Cumulative Smoking Exposure, Duration of Smoking Cessation, and Peripheral Arterial Disease

Researchers have found a link between cumulative smoking exposure and duration of smoking cessation with peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The results were consistent with previous findings that current smoking is associated with a 1.86 to 5.48-fold increase in risk of PAD, compared with never having smoked.
