A study of the vapor emitted from electronic cigarettes found that they do not contain the formaldehyde found in tobacco cigarettes and add less to indoor air pollution. However, e-cigarette vapor could bother the airways of bystanders when inhaled in large amounts and some e-cigarettes have vague labeling about the liquids they contain.
