Secondhand Smoke Tied to Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Ongoing exposure to cigarette smoke could speed up the aging of the brain and make people more likely to have reduced mental ability or Alzheimer’s disease late in life. This finding is from a study of rats exposed to conditions found in restaurants or bars were cigarette smoking is permitted.
